New Regina Manager
The GWC Regina facility has a new
manager. Shawn Kerr took over as Division Manager at the end of January. His
objectives are to grow the customer base in Saskatchewan while maintaining the
outstanding level of service that Regina customers have become accustomed to.
Shawn has over 13 years experience with GWC. Most recently Shawn was Division
Manager of the Calgary operation and brings a bucket full of experience in the
industry with him. His role will also include performing outside sales
throughout Saskatchewan. Shawn encourages anyone and everyone to give him a call
if there is anything he can do for you.
New Look for the Regina warehouse
Regina has implemented a new
warehouse and yard layout. Re-configuration of all inventory locations within
the warehouse and in the yard was introduced in order to improve storage
capacity as well as improve accessibility to materials. Hopefully staff and
customers alike enjoy the new aesthetics. Look forward to more improvements as
we work toward an innovative display area soon to come.
Safety mesh for Regina pallet racking system
Amongst the many facility improvements
in Regina, we have introduced a safety driven initiative. We have installed wire
mesh grill in the pallet racking system. These grills provide improved pallet
stability in the racks as well as increasing weight capacity. Pallets of odd
shapes and sizes now fit evenly within the racking with no problems providing a
safer workplace for those working around and with these materials.
