Great Western Containers' Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBCs), are effective industrial packaging solutions. Distributed throughout Canada, they are available with UN Ratings for dangerous goods and non-UN for non-regulated products. IBCs are also used for many non-dangerous products such as liquids, powders, grains, and even pet foods.

Asset-style IBCs - These IBCs are designed for long-term use and are available in carbon steel, stainless steel or as a heavy rotationally molded plastic bottle inside either a plastic cage or a channel steel cage. Capacities range from 900 litres to 1350 litres.

Light Weight Composite IBCs - These models are a lighter weight, blow molded bottle inside a tubular steel or wire cage. For shorter term use these IBCs are a less expensive alternative to an asset style.

Cleaning - Great Western Containers offers an advanced processing/cleaning system for all styles of IBCs. Our automated system ensures product integrity for long-term use.

Inspection and Testing - UN rated IBCs must be inspected and tested every 2 ½ years to retain status as a UN rated container. Our Edmonton (South) plant is an approved re-inspection and test facility.

Reconditioning - Reconditioning of IBCs is required when container usage changes or when the integrity of the container must be confirmed.
